PAGASA: Extreme North Luzon affected by trough of LPA


A trough of low-pressure area (LPA) will affect the extreme end of north Luzon on Saturday evening, weather bureau PAGASA noted on its 5 p.m. report.
 
As a result, Batanes, Calayan, and the Babuyan Group of Islands and Ilocos Norte will experience light to moderate rains with isolated thunderstorms along with cloudy skies.
 
Northern Luzon will also experience moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the south to southwest and moderate to occasionally rough seas.
 
The rest of the Luzon will have light to moderate winds coming from the southeast to south while the rest of the country experiences the same winds from the east to southeast.
 
PAGASA said that except for northern Luzon, the country will experience light to moderate seas with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
 
Temperatures rocketed up to 34 degrees Celsius at 1 p.m. today and dropped as low as 26.8 degrees at 6 a.m., while humidity rose to 88 percent at 6 a.m. dipped to 53 percent at 1 p.m. — Rie Takumi/JDS, GMA News
