I needed a vest to carry my tools when I do insurance inspections. I have to arrive on site looking business casual professional, but most times, I'm climbing around the building looking at damage everywhere from the roof down to the crawlspace. I need something to hold my tools, cameras, measuring tape, moisture meter, level and other miscellaneous bits while keeping my hands free to climb ladders, crawl into access doors or under houses etc.
This is a well-built vest I can just throw on and get to work. It's a bit stiff, but it'll definitely wear in over time, and it keeps my cameras and tools secure and accessible.
The stitching and construction is top notch, the material is thick and durable, and it offers a good fit and a decent amount of padding to distribute the weight. I'm a broad shouldered guy, and the vest fits me well without binding or chafing. There's plenty of adjustment in the straps for bigger guys, or to allow room for layers of clothing and jackets underneath.
I have minor complaints about it: The loose ends of the straps don't have any hold-downs or bands to keep them from flapping loose, the chest clip and strap is a little thin, and seems likely to snag on rough wood, and I wish it had a tape measure flap/clip (which I will buy for this) I like the tool holder that keeps sharp tools from puncturing your vest (or person) and overall, it's a pretty well done item.
