'I wear less make-up in the spring and summer'

Which beauty products do you swear by?

Each morning I apply SkinMedica TNS serum and sun block. At night I use an oil cleanser like Shu Uemura to take my make-up off, along with a facial cleansing brush. I then use my serum again and, depending on how my skin is feeling, a moisturiser or face oil like Tatcha camellia oil or Fresh Seaberry Moisturising Face Oil. Every so often, I’ll use a moisturising mask by SK-II.

My big beauty do is to experiment, have fun and reflect how you feel on the inside on your outside

What are your essential cosmetics?

Max Factor Cream Concealer, which is great for the under-eye area, Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blush and Nars lip pencil in Red Square, which always makes a bold statement.

I also love Nice ’N Easy Permanent Colour Crème, which I keep at home so I can touch up my hair colour.

Do you have a special spring/summer beauty regime?

I probably wear less make-up in the spring and summer. When you get warm and sweat, it doesn’t look that nice if you’re wearing too much.

What are your beauty dos and don’ts?

My big beauty do is to experiment, have fun and reflect how you feel on the inside on your outside. My beauty don’ts are to never do what someone else wants you to do if it makes you uncomfortable, and avoid shimmery pink lipstick!

'My biggest beauty indulgence is taking a bath every day'

What does hair colour represent or mean to you?

Some people remember certain times in their life by the people they were hanging out with, someone they were dating, or their job, whereas I often relate things to what colour my hair was at the time. I’ve always experimented with colour and I’ve always had fun.

How do you like to pamper yourself?

I’ve started keeping a little group of moisturisers, lip balm and cuticle oil next to where I sit on the couch, so I can file my nails and do some pampering while I watch a movie. I also love a massage. I crave massages so much that, even if it’s only for five minutes, it feels so good. I don’t get them nearly enough, though.

What’s your biggest beauty indulgence?

Taking a bath every day. I don’t take showers – I guess some people would call it luxurious to take a bath each morning.

Would you say you’re generally high or low maintenance when it comes to your beauty regime?

I would say I’m medium maintenance. I definitely like to put make-up on before I leave the house, but I can also go quite minimal with it. I always need half an hour to wake up and get out the door, unless I’m curling my hair. Then I give myself another 20 minutes. I like to sleep, so I have this timed perfectly to get every last minute of shut-eye I can.

Christina is the ambassador for Nice ’N Easy and the brand’s Shift A Shade campaign, encouraging women to find their true colour. Nice ’N Easy Permanent Colour Crème is available in Superdrug now in 57 shades, RRP £5.99.
