Palace: PNoy healthy but had vertigo on SONA day

President Benigno Aquino III remains in good health despite experiencing vertigo during his final State of the Nation (SONA), Malacañang said Tuesday.

Medical research group Mayo Clinic defines vertigo as “the sudden sensation that you're spinning or that the inside of your head is spinning.”

Coloma also said that the public has nothing to worry about Aquino’s coughing fit during his SONA on Monday afternoon.

Aquino, a known smoker, also experienced coughing fits during his SONA last year, and in some of his other public addresses. Malacañang earlier said the President consults his personal physicians “on a very regular basis.”

Earlier this year, Aquino categorically denied rumors of him collapsing and being brought to a hospital’s intensive care unit. He even accused his “persistent critics” of spreading rumors about his health. -NB, GMA News
