The show marked their first public performance after they recently left the formidable Transit Crew and they proved how they just might be the next big thing in the local reggae circles.

The three-hour performance was a spectacle as they kept the crowd on their feet singing along on every track both old and new.

Donned in typical reggae suits (camouflaged trousers and khaki shirts), both artistes unbundled their rich vocal prowess churning a considerable number of classics like “redemptions songs” by the late Bob Marley.

Speaking to NewsDay after the show, the band’s manager Nkanali Mavuto said the outfit was now aiming at consistency and producing more of their own music to bring back the much-loved genre in the country.

“It is impressive to see that a band which has rehearsed for less than a month together can pull a polished act like this in front of an amazing crowd,” he said.

“Now we feel compelled to continue consistently so that we do not disappoint our fans so the two artistes are currently working on their own music to be released soon and it will be real reggae,” said Mavuto.

He said the band’s future was bright considering the type of music they produce and the way they present their songs on and off stage. “People love their music and they have been following them and I believe that in future we will become the best reggae outfit in the country,” he said.

Many local artistes graced the occasion including veteran musician Mono Mukondo and the duo did not disappoint the visibly elated crowd.
