Washington Township crimelog: Shoplifter shoves shoes down pants, flees store

Washington Township crimelog:

--A loss prevention agent at Kohl's reported on April 18 that a black male entered the store, placed three pairs of women's athletic shoes down his pants, and fled the store while running toward Greentree Road. He was reportedly wearing jeans, a black hoodie style shirt and jacket as well as a beard and dreadlocks. The shoes were valued at $225.50

-- An employee of Staples reported on April 18 that a white male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall wearing an aqua blue shirt and blue jeans, stole a gold iPhone 6 plus valued at $749.99 and fled the store. Police were unable to locate the man.

--A Woodlawn Avenue woman reported on April 9 that the passenger side windows of her vehicle were broken overnight. She suspected they were broken by a neighbor who lived in an apartment below hers who she has a history of disputes with. Police advised the victim of the process to file criminal complaints against the neighbor.

Just a few days later on April 12, the same victim reported that all of her jewelry and electronics were missing from her apartment and that she had seen her neighbor and her neighbor's children running from the victim's apartment as the victim arrived home. Police said there was damage to the victim's front door as well.

--A West Deptford woman reported on April 15 that her driver's side window was smashed and her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parted at the municipal golf course on Fries Mill Road.

--A Philadelphia woman reported on April 17 that a total of $1,360 worth of items including a computer, air conditioner, tablet and cable box, were stolen from a home she was moving out of on Polaris Court. She said she suspected a man who previously lived at the address was responsible.

--A 20-year-old Franklinville man was arrested for shoplifting on April 10 after an employee of Walmart observed him place $230 worth of stereo equipment in a cart and leave the store without paying. Police said Jess Baker was "very cooperative" as he was taken to police headquarters, processed and released with summons.
