When the iPhone vs. Android Fight Comes to Blows | Re/code

Morons.
I’ve been caught several times by the “android police”, be it trolls or in real life. I was always surprised by the passion of these people: a grown woman with a PhD, defending “open” to the death, was in tears of rage when I dismissed her arguments, with calm and reason. As a seasoned pro she lost all interest for me: you should never wear your heart on your sleeve for futile battles, without solid arguments. And preferences are not solid arguments. Durability, functionality, availability, programmability, ease of integration versus price are good arguments for a platform choice.
There is no point really. Androidites will remain so, I’ll keep programming for my favorite platform anyway.
