We only have a little over a month to go until the premiere of the first trailer for Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which will come attached to “Mad Max: Fury Road,” so every bit in the direction of letting us know what’s in store helps.

Jesse Eisenberg is promoting a new play, and on an appearance on Seth Meyers, he also talked a bit about his role as the famous villain Lex Luthor in the film.

He didn’t exactly offer any revealing details, other than the fact that he shaved his head for the role, which he apparently found quite “terrifying,” but this interview may serve those who believe he’s miscast in the role.

Luthor is a very calculated and shrewd man, cruel and without remorse. Eisenberg, on the other hand, is brimming with nervous energy, which, so far, has translated wonderfully into the movies he’s made. That’s mostly because he’s been playing characters with whom he has that in common.

Luthor is so far outside his comfort zone as an actor he can’t even see his comfort zone anymore. I can’t say whether he’s been miscast, but he’s definitely a giant leap of faith on the part of Snyder and Warner Bros.

So we’re better off reserving actual judgment until we see him in action, at least in the trailer if not in the full movie.
