Arugula, Grape, and Sunflower Seed Salad

I love arugula so this was a hit for me. Everything about it was delicious but I found the amount of dressing to be a tad heavy for the salad amount. That being said, the majority of my fam likes the dressing to be a bit more on the heavy side so it all worked out. I agree with the comments of some others, the addition of goat cheese or feta would be lovely. Since I made this as a compliment to numerous other dishes on the Christmas table it was great as is.
My daughter and I loved this recipe! My husband and son not, so much. I think next timeI will put in spinach and reduce arugula, so it won't be so peppery tasting.
Wonderful, tasty, yummy light meal. We'll be making this again and again.
The salad dressing was a bit too sweet for us considering that the grapes are already sweet. I would make this again, but with less honey/maple syrup.
I make this salad with spinach and everyone loves it.
Since I had nearly all of the ingredients, I made this salad tonight (although I subbed in olive oil for grapeseed oil and used dried thyme instead of fresh). I added 1 TBSP of oil to the dressing, because 2 tsp didn't seem like enough. The dressing was really, really tangy/acidic. Overall, I thought this salad was tasty, and that the sweet grapes went well with the tangy/acidic dressing and the thyme was a nice addition. I served it with steak. I'd make it again, but only if I happened to have all of the ingredients in stock. I would not go out of my way for this salad.
My family and I enjoyed the combination of the arugula, grapes, and sunflower seeds. The dressing, however, was another story. It had way too much vinegar! We're used to Cooking Light salad dressings, so heavy on the vinegar and light on the dressing isn't new to us. Still, this dressing was practially inedible. If I make this salad again, I'll reduce the vinegar at least by half.
We liked this and would make again. I served it with grilled Tuna. I cut the salad in half(just for two). But I made the whole amount of the salad dressing and was perfect for the Tuna.
I used Herb Salad Mix instead of Arugula and thought this was very tasty. I like the idea of adding a little feta or goat cheese. May try that next time (and there will be a next time). Very easy too. Not a lot of chopping like a lot of other salad recipes.
I made this salad for a dinner party, and it was incredibly easy to throw together. I added a little feta and it was amazing! Everyone at the party loved it and I would definitely make it again, either just for dinner or for a party.
This was a very tasty and interesting salad combination. It was the first time I'd ever tried arugula outisde of a baby greens mix. It was not as bitter as I'd have thought, but I think the dressing mellowed the taste nicely. I used dried thyme because my thyme plants are still far too tiny to be harvested. I think the only thing that was lacking in this salad was just a little bit more substance; the grapes were excellent, the dressing was zippy and the sunflower seeds were nice toasty notes, but I felt like a few carrot shreds or something would've made this over the top.
I loved how this recipe turned out. I made it exactly to the recipe minus the thyme because i couldn't get it at the store i was at. However, even without the salad tastes great and I will be making it more in the future. It is always super quick and easy to throw together.
I made this salad tonight and hated it. When made with arugula, it has a bitter and nasty flavor that is unpleasant. Although I hated it, I am going to give it a second try with a different variety of lettuce to see if it tastes any better when made with a milder lettuce. I think a milder lettuce will in fact make this an acceptable week night meal because the combination of flavors from the dressing, grapes and sunflower seeds seemed like it would be nice when served on a different base.
