Collectable Minifigure Series 13 - Images

Posted by ,

Promo Bricks earlier today posted images of the upcoming series 13 collectable minifigures. The leaked page from a German catalogue appears to tally with the list of figures that we published previously.

LEGO have also now published the official images via their Facebook page. You can check them out over at the Brickset Flickr Stream.

Let us know what you think of them, and there's also a discussion in the forum.

By in United Kingdom,

Got to get these. Can't wait to pick them up. They'll be in my local town in less than five weeks, and I'm really hoping for an Evil Sorcerer, King, Galaxy Trooper and Hot Dog Man. :-D :-D

By in United States,

Oh, I can't wait! I really want that Goblin and the King!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

the King is awsome! and the hotdog-guy, too

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

This may be the best series EVER :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

Really great. The last couple of series have been very boring imo. Series 12 May have been the worst. But there are some great figs in this series.

Gravatar
By in United States,

goblin looks cool for Elder Scrolls customs or just regular medieval, king is awesome, and the space marine dude looks like the symbol on his chest plate is similar to that of O.N.I. in Halo 3 *sigh* if only...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That Goblin seems perfect for a classic Green Goblin. The king also looks nice, though personally I think the rest are a little disappointing. Some nice moulds, but not for me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There are some good ones in there. Love the Hot Dog Guy. But why on earth are there two disembodied eyes under his left hand? Is that an accessory, a botched illustration, or something else?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I laughed so hard at the Hot Dog Guy. He is exactly what I wished for (a mascot and not a hot dog merchant).

The king, both space troopers, the wizard, the goblin and Egyptian are even more awesome than I imagined them.

I still think the female cyclops is absurd though, in both concept and execution.

Overall, this looks like one of the best series yet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like most of them except the Unicorn Girl, Lady Cyclops, and King Superman. The Disco Diva's arm and leg printing... boss. Love the ammonite printed tile too.

Gravatar
By in United States,

whats up with the eyes under the hotdog guy's hand? looks like the face slit in the ninja masks...

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^^ Maybe the eyes of a Mystery figure..? I am not sure...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Oh my god they made Satan mommy!
Damn. A Scout and a Mountie was meant to finish it for me, now I 'need' more. Impressive series generally, best for a very long time.

What makes it so difficult to stop is the unique parts. You may not want the character but their parts are so useful in MOCs etc. And the multiples! Lego CUUSOO surely let them know that Space Marines would sell like hot cakes. CMF series can be like manna for army builders, just have to wait for your 'thing' to come along. £2.50 for cheap Chinese made translucency and loose swingy legs and we still can't stop, heeeeelp!

By in United States,

Digging that carpenter, using Emmet's hard hat in yellow is genius!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is it just me or could the king be used as a great stand in for someone who is making a Burger King Restaurant?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

At least it will be easy to feel for that hotdog through the bag!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

This is by far the worst series of all. 8 of the figures are ugly & stupid (especially the hot dog), the sherriff looks like an unimaginative alteration of the one from the Lego movie and the palaentologist is almost the same as the series 5 zookeeper. The snake charmer is the best, although I'll probably buy the king, Egyptian & carpenter too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

They eyes under the hotdog guy's hand means it's a dual sided head. Happy one side, annoyed the other!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Yeah, some of these are definitely more miss (the Cyclops girl? Another Pharaoh?). I also feel like we've gotten a whole bunch of these guys and gals in the past, with minimal differences.

Having said that, I do like the King the Snake Charmer (with the new cobra piece!). And I don't mind the palaeontologist, or the Lovecraftian alien dude.

And is that the devil? That seems a little hardcore.

Gravatar
By in United States,

WHY is there a samurai girl??? They werent exactly common

Gravatar
By in United States,

I. AM. SO. EXCITED FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) The hot dog guy is AWESOME!!!! He'll go great with Bob's Kabob's from The Lego Movie!!!!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Have to say, that king and wizard look amazing. The cowboy's also kinda cool. I don't like the hotdog guy, though.

Actually, scratch that. There's more guys that look cool. The egyptian and the samurai are gonna be a must-have too. There goes my spending money...

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Oh wow! These are all amazing! Unicorn and Hot Dog are both hilarious, the King is awesome, the Wizard is suitably evil, I love the Paleaontologist and the Snake Charmer (great new pieces), and also the recolouring of Emmet's hat piece!

Spectacular series - they've topped S12 already!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely more impressive than Series 12, of which I only bought about half. I may find myself collecting all of Series 13!

By in Taiwan,

I think the gender ratio fails again. We got two miner guys last time and again we get two male troopers this time? Based on the fact CMF keep booming Space characters but only two are female so far, not good.

If the Fencer is a guy, this means it doesn't go back to six ladies like TLM was this time. A female Fencer unlikely appears in the future since she wouoldn't have too many differences beside the waistline.

However I'm against the Samurai Woman this time. Bugaeisha does exist in real history, but the major issue with her is the very similiar character Samurai X right there in the ongoing regular theme. We do lack Asian ladies but I don't think she is a good choice. My vote is for a male Shogun.

The mascots are truly outstanding, and the rehashing characters are okay (at least the Cyclop Lady is better than the Robot one). It's not the best/worst series but almost on the standard.

By in United States,

My son went as a banana for Halloween and his good buddy went as a hot dog. I love it!

But now my son says they need to make a banana suit guy.... (TLG, are you listening???)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

wow.... They look epic best ones yet

Gravatar
By in United States,

Space trooper, alien and warlock will be mine!

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Is the evil wizard the first figure in years to have no headpiece? Since the days of the wrestler and crash test dummy, and zombie? Wow those were the days, lol...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why must we all keep bringing up the gender of LEGO.

Please enough already with trying to turn our favorite hobby into a gender equality platform. Just by noticing the male to female ratio and making it an issue sets our equality back by 20 years. It's driving me nuts.

Anyway I really look forward to this series especially the king and evil wizard.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

For me this is one of the best series yet.
I know we already have many king minifigs, but this one is really detailed and cool.
The galaxy trooper looks really cool, I think the chest armor is a new piece and reminds me of those caparace armors from Warhammer 40k Imperial Guards! plus it has what seems to be an eagle/some kind of bird symbol?

The goblin is also a good one, as it does not look too similar to those from the Hobbit sets.
The alien as some said reminds of Lovecraft creeps.

The hot dog guy, well that one is just brilliant.

The only ones I won't be buying are the lady cyclops (the cyclops was a must have, but this one is too lame for me), and the disco diva (which is a great figure but not the kind I like)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Why can't they make a set I don't want?! I don't have room for these things! I don't even have the last SIX sets displayed anywhere.

But man, that Hotdog is the best, they made a totally boss Cthulhu face, and I'm gonna need about a hundred of those goblins.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't know why, but I denfintity need multiples of the new space trooper. He just better have a classic space symbol.

Gravatar
By in Estonia,

Wow, those UK e-Bay guys are quick. I already saw a 71008 complete set on sale there...
They probably know something that we don't know.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

@LukeSkywalker:
The last collectable minifigure without any kind of headgear was the mummy from series 3.

For some reason, the last few series (counting the Simpsons and movie series) have been strong on new headgear, but light on new accessories. The handsaw, cobra and egyptian shield are the only new ones I can see here.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hmmm... looking closely, is that actually a new mold for the shield in the Egyptian guy's hand? At first, of course I just assumed that it was simply the normal one printed upside-down, but it looks definitively longer than the standard version (3846), and they way he is holding it upside-down with no problems implies that it has a more normal "cross-grip" now, like the ovoid shield has (2586), and like all of the newer shield molds have (like Viking 91884pb001, or Athena bb561pb05, as examples). Are they finally getting rid of those slightly awkward "pistol-grip" shields that have been used since the '80s? If so, then am guessing it will be the new standard one used in Castle and Tolkien sets, printed in the normal way, "right side up". It will allow for a lot more naturalistic action poses, right?

On that note, in addition the the Snake Charmer and the Egyptian Soldier here, what other CMFs have joined the prestigious "Two New Molds Club"? =D

By in United Kingdom,

Does lego have a thing against purple or something?? This is the third time they've used green and still no purple....

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wow! Lego have just shown the best series yet! That king is perfect and the hotdog guy!!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Need Galaxy Troopers... Need!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Best collection ever... I'm usually only interested in five or six, but I pretty much would go for this whole set. Well ten or eleven of them.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I think the Unicorn Girl also has two new molds (tail and headgear).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice This has some good parts in it!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

To be honest, I'm the least excited for the hotdog guy. But nearly every single other I utterly love! I'd be tempted to buy the entire series on day one!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

By the way, does anyone also think that the goblin has the perfect headgear and is similar to the Spider-man Green Goblin? Would this mean that they will finally release a classic variant?

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

@brix
True. We've seen lavender minfigs and purple Mixels with bags but no purple series yet?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think this series is definitely better than the last. I've been trying to collect them all, if only to have a complete collection. But usually they have interesting pieces that individually go for way too much on bricklink, so I just get the whole figure.

This last series was pretty boring, but I still bought them all, only because of the price issue at Target. Hopefully that will happen again because I don't want to spend $64 minimum on ONE complete set...grr.

With that said, this series looks relatively good. The king is neat. Although I'm unhappy to see hair attached to the crown. I've been wanting a new crown piece, but I don't know how useful this will be. The hair definitely is important since the back would be exposed, just limits it for me.

I'm more of a castle person, so that Goblin will be needed in hordes. Although, the space trooper is way better than the previous space trooper. I may have to buy a few of him also.

I would say the cyclops having lipstick is pretty ridiculous. But then again, don't all LEGO females wear lipstick? Still, easily could pass on that one, but I'm sure I'll get it for completion sake.

My top three: Goblin, King, Space Trooper... interestingly enough, my daughter wants the unicorn, hot dog guy, and samurai..so that's cool.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Woo hoo!!! Ming the Merciless! I can just hear his iconic RAISING OF HIS VOICE IN EXCITEMENT!!!

Also stoked the furries now have a girl to go to their party. So appropriate she's a "unicorn", too, HA! (Unicorn implies the rarity of someone like that, fyi)

This is the first time in a while I've been legitimately excited for a set. Sure there are stinkers (the cyclops looks like she has a moustache to me, not lipstick), but the creativity in design is pretty strong.
