    well it is easier to reduce body temperature than to increase body temperature. especially if you are alone. however, just reading the parameters of the study, i'm still not really sure what they did.

    so they studied countries that have subtropical and 'cold' climates. However, I didn't know Canada and Sweden were subtropical... since they didn't define 'cold' as arctic or sub-arctic so I can't comment on what constitutes a cold country.

    next, the study isn't on weather-related deaths. It appears to be counting the number of deaths total and then seeing what the weather conditions were at the time of death. I guess the study is looking for a correlation but the article and headline are drawing conclusions saying that correlation = cause.
