Blast Robots As A Cybergirl When Assault Android Cactus Arrives This Summer

Recommended Videos

Assault Android Cactus will be out this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U. This is good news, especially if you’ve got tired of being a squid girl by then, as Assault Android Cactus lets you play as a synthetic heroine.

It’s a twin-stick shooter that has you stranded on board the Genki Star, which is a space freighter that has, unfortunately, seen its own robot servants malfunction. Yes, this means that you need to escape while blasting through a horde of vicious machines. That includes the giant robot bosses at the end of each deck that’ll be all too happy to unleash bullet hell patterns at you, mixing it up with some special attacks to keep you on your toes.

Oh, and to make matters worse, across the 25 stages of the campaign, the ship itself will have some surprises of its own. The lights may go out, the walls may begin to close in towards crushing you, and it may just spout huge flamethrowers to heat things up. All of these hazards will occur and you’ll have to react accordingly to survive.

The main character in Assault Android Cactus is Constable Cactus. However, there are seven other playable cybergirls to play as, each with their own weapons and play style to get acquainted with. It also supports local co-op play for up to four players so you don’t have to face the robots alone.

Last thing to note is that there are extra modes to try out. These include a Daily Drive challenge, a Boss Rush mode, and unlockable EX options that let you “dive into the Infinity Drive.” If you want to know any more about Assault Android Cactus check out its website. You can currently purchase it through Steam Early Access.
