Do you ever worry about your skin and hair? You do what it takes to keep them both in great shape, but you still have issues like age marks, dark circles and hair fall. Have you ever considered that these things can happen because of your mental health? Yes, it can happen! Caring for your mental health can make your skin and hair healthy on the inside too.
Steps
-
Try to control your anger. Feeling out of control can affect your skin. Anger can bring on stress hormones, which then impact your skin. Learning breathing techniques, meditation, or other ways to calm yourself can help calm your nerves, which can then calm your skin.
-
Go to bed early. People who stay up late at night typically have more skin problems because they aren't giving their body and skin the rest it needs to rejuvenate. So, try to finish your work early and get enough sleep at night—at least 7 hours is a good benchmark.
-
3Try to keep your anxiety in check. Too much anxiety or tension causes internal stress, which can then affect your hair follicles and lead to hair fall. If you worry too much, you might lose some of your hair.[1] When we are anxious, we release stress hormones that can impact our hair. Try and get your mind in a calm place in order to prevent hair fall out.
-
Exercise regularly. Regular physical exercise makes your blood healthy. The healthy blood then travels through your body, which makes your skin and hair healthy on the inside. Try and exercise daily for at least 15 minutes.

QuestionWhat if you can't control your stress?Ava TuckerCommunity AnswerThere are a lot of ways to help with stress. Meditation, EFT (emotional freedom technique) and journaling are great if you have time. You can also seek help from a therapist. Doing a quick, one-minute meditation or some slow breathing can help, too. If a person is causing you stress directly or indirectly, talk to them or have someone you trust talk to them for you.
