The Portokalos family is getting bigger.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, the sequel to the 2002 comedy that starred Nia Vardalos and John Corbett, will hit theaters March 25, 2016.
Kirk Jones will direct the Vardalos-written project that will see the original two co-stars return for the follow-up comedy. Rita Wilson and Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman will produce.
Joel Zwick directed the original, also written by Vardalos, that scored $368 million worldwide since its April 2002 release.
MBFGW2 will compete for the weekend box office against Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Universal Pictures will distribute the comedy.
