See Tall Ships sail the Thames, and join in the free fun at our Festival day on Woolwich riverside. The Tall Ships are returning to Royal Greenwich this August Bank Holiday as up to 15 Tall Ships drop anchor for a maritime family festival at Woolwich Arsenal Riverside. Admire the ships cruising majestically each day up and down the River Thames and wave off the fleet from Greenwich on Monday 31 August as the ships leave in an elegant parade. Bring the family down to Woolwich Riverside to enjoy a taste of life on the high seas at our Tall Ships Festival day on Saturday 29 August – featuring live shanty music, street theatre, historical characters and market stalls from 12noon to 10pm - and ending with a fireworks display at 9.45pm. You can also hop onboard a Thames Clipper for a trip from Greenwich or London Bridge piers to see our two largest Tall Ships, climb onboard and meet the crew.
