Tarrytown Launches Pair of Village Planning Studies

The village is determining some of the best uses of its assets.

Tarrytown recently launched a pair of planning studies to determine the best uses of some of the areas around the village, according to Village Administrator, Mike Blau.

The Office Building and Mixed Use Zoning Districts review will ”assess whether the uses in the district makes sense based upon today’s real estate market,” Blau told RiverJournalOnline.com.

Additionally, the village is also reviewing the area around the train station and the waterfront to determine what the best uses would be for those spots.

“It is a hard look at what is permitted now and what uses (may be many of the same uses) should continue or new uses be added to the area,” Blau told River Journal.
