A whopping 30 per cent of 35 to 44 year olds have revealed their favourite sexual position is doggy style in interesting new research released today.

A quarter of those aged 44 to 54 prefer have revealed they much prefer woman on top while they're making love.

The news comes just days after it was revealed people over the age of 55 are having the best sex in Britain.

Leading lingerie and erotic retailer, Ann Summers, conducted the survey of over 1,000 UK adults to discover just how kinky we are as a nation.

Those amongst us living the wildest sex lives are from Belfast, with the beautiful Irish city coming out on top for those favouring the sixty-nine position.

Meanwhile, representing the north of England, Leeds has come out as the most flexible of cities, with local residents enjoying the ‘legs on shoulders’ position the most.Those who are most likely to ‘play it safe’ when it comes to sex are in Cardiff, with nearly a third preferring to stick to the missionary position.

And where does the nation choose to have sex? Would you believe a mischievous 39 per cent of us have got steamy in a car, with a further frisky 18 per cent of us revealing to have done the deed in a park.

Even more daringly, 13 per cent of those surveyed admitted to having been down and dirty at work, with a risky 12 per cent claiming to have had sex in their parents' bed.

A spokesperson at Ann Summers commented on the findings: "It’s fantastic to see that adults across the UK are becoming more adventurous and having fun with their sex lives.

"Our aim is to build people’s confidence and to not be afraid of experimenting with new toys or lubricants to really maximise their pleasure and to bring them even closer to their partner."

They added: "We’re also pleased to see that most adults are having sex regularly with their partners and are not just keeping the fun to the bedroom!"
