Rivertowns Median Home Prices Continue Trending Upwards

12 months of real estate market data prove homes in The Rivertowns continue to be in high demand.

I give you, The Rivertowns Real Estate Market Data in an easy to read format. These charts, below, represent one full year of key data points ending January 2015 for the School Districts of: Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Ardsley & Tarrytown.

As you will see, The Rivertowns median home sale price is trending UP and the inventory (number of homes available for sale) is trending DOWN. What does this mean for us? There are fewer homes available for sale in our area, and the prices are continuing their trend upwards. For sellers in our area this is great news! For buyers, this means more competition in the market place.

We are nearing the end of an arctic winter. The snow will melt and home-owners who have been thinking about selling will rush to put their homes on the market.

Currently there are plenty buyers who have been patiently standing-by since the end of 2014 to purchase a home. Why wait to do the same as everyone else? Why not list now and take advantage of the buyers who are willing, ready and waiting?
