Yes it should. The game was a total and complete bomb when it launched. Sales sucked, the game was broken, and the fact that still nobody has received their free copy is beyond me.

Oh 2014 is bad. Coming out of the year 2013 with TLOU, Bioshock Infinite, GTAV, and Tomb Raider, it was bad.

MOBA and DOTA dont appeal me, i wont play and say "It suck, all you do click, is this a clicking mouse simulator or supposed to be a game, i give this turd 1/10!" just for the sake of doing a review and baiting peoples at raging on how im not the target audience.

driveclub is not a bad game. but personally the server issues were only a part of my issues with it. my problems with it are that when you strip away the admittedly impressive graphics and fantastic sound, you're left with a racer that feels very basic with very few options - especially when you compare it to other racers. even if you accept the weird physics and don't care much about how realistic they are (or aren't in this case) there isn't much to do but pick a car and go race. sounds silly for a racing game but theres no strategy. theres no tweaking and tuning, theres no joy or pride in customizing your ride, or a community to showcase your rides or sell or trade. theres nothing to do outside of just that cycle of car/race/car/race/challenge/ra ce/car race/ for a lot of people i guess thats ok, but to compete in the racing genre these days you gotta bring more than that, imo.

gran turismo and forza 5 let you tune the sh** out of your cars, and test drive them, save tuner setups to be used on certain tracks, upgrade your cars, and re-arrange your components to match classes etc. its like picking players for a basketball game or something. theres a strategy to it that goes beyond just racing well. forza 5 also has an excellent basis for community to showcase things. forza horizon 2 is more arcade like DC but still has better physics, all of the tweaking and customizing of forza 5 and even more community feel to showcase things and compete. then it adds other special events on top of the multiple different types of race events so it very rarely if ever feels repetitive. im rambling sure, but if all the DC fans would have an open mind and give games like f5, fh2, pcars etc an honest go, you'd actually realize how much its missing in comparison. i will say its at least getting better with each update.

Careful, opinions are based on taste and what as an individual you consider the best, you may not think DriveClub is the best racer but others may.

When Drive Club is the only viable choice for a racing game on PS4 then yes, people that have it will tend to love it. I can't help but think that if there were a GT game or GRID then DC would have been completely overlooked, save for it's beauty.
