Forum on Human Trafficking at White Plains Library - 15 April

A consortium of local organizations will hold a A Forum on Human Trafficking: Present Day Enslavement in Our Community on Wednesday 15 April

A group of White Plains civic organizations, will present a Forum on Human Trafficking: Present Day Enslavement in Our Communities, on April 15th at 7:00pm at the White Plains Public Library,

Among the Speakers will be NYS Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, an ardent advocate for legislation criminalizing human trafficking and decriminalizing the prosecution and treatment of trafficking victims; Gonzalo Martinez de Vedia of the Human Trafficking Program, Worker Justice Center; Carl J. Boykin, Director of Human Trafficking Prevention for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services; Lauren Herch, Director, Anti- Trafficking Policy & Advocacy, Sanctuary for Families.

The United States is the second highest destination in the world for trafficked women with New York State amongst those hardest hit and Westchester has not been immune from the problem, as you will learn in the Forum.

The Forum is free and open to the public. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
