In this exclusive interview, Fat Chicken senior creative director Randy Greenback explains why this game isn't about fat shaming some portly poultry.
Fat Chicken is a reverse tower defense game where you must construct towers to keep your livestock alive long enough to make it to the slaughter house. Your income is earned by the pound so you want to have the fattest chickens, pigs, and cows possible. As you progress in the game you will earn promotions and get the attention of protesters who do not approve of the growth hormones, antibiotics and genetic mutation techniques.
To celebrate the holidays, Relevant Games’ tower offense game Fat Chicken has gone free for a limited time.
Fat Chicken believes games can make a positive impact while still putting fun first.
NoobFeed writes: "Trying something different in a stationary genre like tower defense is never easy, as there’s not a lot of places to go before the model is broken. Therefore, Fat Chicken messes less with mechanisms than it does with the plot, with the addition of a psychology touch to the rationale."
