Newly minted presidential candidate Hillary Clinton hit the campaign trail on Sunday in a van she nicknamed "Scooby."
The van was reportedly named as an homage to the Mystery Machine that ferried Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Velma and Daphne around in the iconic Scooby Doo cartoons.
Clinton took off in the van for a "road trip" on Sunday from her home in Chappaqua, New York, bound for Monticello, Iowa, where she plans to meet voters in the early primary state on Tuesday.

The van journey was Clinton's idea, an aide told CNN; the network reported a Clinton sighting at a gas station in Lamar, Pennsylvania. "She loves a road trip and hopes to see people along the way."

“When Hillary first told us that she was ready to hit the road for Iowa, we literally looked at her and said, ‘Seriously?’ And she said, 'Seriously,'” a longtime Clinton aide, Huma Abedin, told supporters during a conference call on Sunday, according to the Guardian. “This was her idea, and she’s been really excited about it since she came up with it.”
"She loves her Scooby van," another aide, Jennifer Palmier, tweeted.
Clinton is a passenger while a Secret Service agent is behind the wheel, CNN reporter. There have been no confirmed reports of Scooby snacks inside the vehicle.
