Anti-corruption efforts will be PNoy’s legacy –Poe

Senator Grace Poe were all praises for President Benigno Aquino III before the chief executive delivered his last state address on Monday.

"Wag nating maliitin ang mga nagawa niya, especially against corruption. Marami pang kailangang gawin…sa transportasyon, sa mga magsasaka, pero hindi natin dapat makalimutan 'yun," Poe said.

She said Aquino must be credited for "bringing back the trust in government, his example of honesty and anti-corruption efforts."

President Aquino had earlier said that he wants Poe, Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero and Interior Secretary Mar Roxas to run under a "united ticket" and continue the reforms he started in his administration.

Poe kept mum about her political plans and said that she has yet to meet again with Aquino. She has already met thrice with the President to talk about the 2016 elections but no agreement has been made between the two parties.

"Wala naman, magkikita lang kamit today [sa SONA]...This is not a political event. We should hear what the President has to say," said Poe, who has been leading in pre-election surveys on preferred presidential candidates. —KBK, GMA News
