That first dapper guy, all the way to the left, that's Paul McCartney. 45 years ago today he announced his departure from The Beatles to pursue a solo career.

Last month Zayn Malik (above, complete with Superman curl) announced his departure from 1D and has been currently working on his solo career.

Coincidence? No chance!
