Grimes And Bleachers Just Dropped Your Quarter-Life Crisis Anthem
When I was 22, I told a 27-year-old I'd just met that "27 or 28 is the age when you've got everything figured out." Oh, to be that young, dumb, and naïve again, before the low-key bimonthly quarter-life crises set in -- a problem that Grimes and Bleachers explore on their new song together.
"Entropy" finds the two artists, a.k.a. Claire Boucher and Jack Antonoff, contemplating their past and present selves and passions lost and found over some gentle acoustic backing.
The track is a far cry from either Grimes' usual demonic synthscapes or Bleachers' long-lost mixtape of '80s nostalgia -- it's more similar to Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney's "FourFiveSeconds" than anything else, both sonically and thematically.
