FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, the Dirtybird Campout is a 21 and over event. All attendees must bring a valid government-issued ID.

What time can I arrive and set up camp?

The campgrounds open on Friday, October 2nd at 12pm. You need to pick up your wristbands at the on-site box office first though. Box office hours are below:

Friday 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Saturday 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Sunday 10:0 AM - 8:00 PM

I'm coming from out of town, what airport do I fly to?

The event is easily accessible from LAX and John Wayne airport. There are shuttle passes from LAX to the event available for purchase HERE!

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking will be available at the venue separate from the campgrounds. If you want to camp with your car (by bringing your car in the campground), you must purchase a car camping pass above. In addition, there will be shuttle tickets offering trips from LAX to the event available for purchase soon.

Are there in and outs on the parking and the festival?

You may leave the festival at any time, but if you leave after the gates are closed you will not be able to return until the next morning when the gates are open again. Check the website for the gate hours.

Are there day passes?

Currently there are only full weekend passes available for this event. Closer to the event day passes may become available so please keep an eye out for future announcements about that.

What kind of activities will we be having?

The Dirtybird Campout is going to be a full summer camp experience. In addition to great music and dancing we'll be hosting a Dirtybird BBQ, a comedy stage, a talent show, late night movies, plus all of the summer camp activities you would expect including tug of war, boat races, potato sack races, water balloon toss, scavenger hunts, capture the flag, archery, arts & crafts, s'mores, campfire songs, story telling and much more!

Can I bring a camper or RV? Is there any additional cost??

Yes, you can bring an RV or camper to the campout with the purchase of an additional RV Camping Pass (available as a separate ticket purchase above). There are no size restrictions on RVs, but any vehicle larger than a van needs to purchase an RV Camping Pass. Any vehicles with a trailer also need to purchase an RV Camping Pass.

One RV Pass is good for 1 RV. You do not need to purchase an RV Camping Pass for each person camping in the RV, but everyone (including the driver) does need to have a 3 Day Pass or Backstage Party Pass to come in with the RV.

Can I camp with my car?

Yes, you can camp with your car if you purchase an additional Car Camping Pass. See ticketing page for details.

Where can I take a shower?

We will have showers in the main campground plaza available for $7.

Where can I brush my teeth??

You can brush your teeth anywhere you want. But we recommend doing it in your campsite and rinsing with a cup of water. You should brush at least twice a day.

How can i live the high life because i’m not a great camper?

The Dirtybird Campout will offer pre-setup camping packages for those who want to come enjoy the campout experience but don’t have the time or energy to pack and bring all of their own camping gear. Let us handle all the dirty work and just sit back and enjoy your stay! Please see HERE for full details on our camping packages.

What is the google map point of the front entrance?

Dirtybird Campout is located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego at beautiful Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA. The address for the entrance road is below.

5305 Santiago Canyon Road,

Silverado, CA 92676

I want to get the right supplies for the weekend what do you recommend bringing??

Camping can be simple and basic or it can be a luxury experience depending on how you roll. We recommend the following basics: tent, shade for tent, sleeping bags and blankets, camp chairs, lanterns, folding tables, camp stove with kitchen supplies (pots, pans, cutting boards, knives, utensils, paper towels, dish soap, etc...), trash bags, food and drinks, sun block, bug spray, lip balm, good walking shoes, fun lights for camp at night time, flags and other identifiable objects so you can find your camp, and anything else fun you can think of. Please see our complete list of what to and not to bring HERE!

What will I be able to purchase on site?

There will be plenty of food vendors onsite to feed you throughout the weekend. We'll also have several bars serving beer and wine. There will also be a small general store in case you forget some basics like toothpaste or a tooth brush.

What can/can't I bring to the event??

You cannot bring weapons, sound systems, propane stoves / lanterns, kegs or large quantities of alcohol into the event. These will be strictly enforced.

You can bring blankets, toys and games to play with, lots of friends and good attitudes. Get ready to have some fun!

I left a jar of mayo in the sun all day then made a sandwich do you have a Medical Tent???

Yes, we will have a medic tent in the main campground plaza. If you have any issues or see someone with an issue please don't hesitate to call on our medic staff for support. They are here to help you and happy to do it.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

There will be an info booth next to the medic tent in the main campground plaza. They will be able to help you with general questions and if you need to contact production they can do that as well.

Is my ticket transferrable?

There are no refunds on tickets, but you can transfer them if you are unable to attend. Please contact Eventbrite support for details on how to do this.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, you will need to bring your printed ticket to the box office at the entrance to receive your festival wristband. No one will be allowed entry without a proper festival wristband on.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

If the name on the ticket does not match the name of the attendee that is ok. Be careful to make sure that you don't lose your ticket or have it stolen from you because if it is used before you arrive you will have to purchase another one.

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.

What if it rains?

The Dirtybird Campout is a rain or shine event, no refunds. The music, games and fun will go on! If the weather reports predict rain or if you want to be extra cautious we recommend coming prepared with extra shoes, trash bags, raincoats, tarps, and extra stakes to secure your tent.
