GI:
"Lumino City is gorgeous. You could place a screenshot from the game next to an image from Laika Studios films like Coraline and ParaNorman and no one would question its place in the line-up. Playing with my young daughter prompted exaggerated, mouth-agape “Ooohs” and “Ahhs” as we moved from scene to scene, and I absolutely related to her excitement. Lumino City is meant to be more than just a beautiful series of images, but when it comes to puzzles, story, and characters, it plays things safe without offering quite the same inspiration as its visuals."
Mobirum has been reviewing beautiful games so far, this is a fact.
But Lumino City is by far something out of the ordinary.
With an environment entirely hand-crafted, honest storytelling and a simple gameplay, Lumino City is ready to take you on a marvelous journey, lasting from 8 to 10 hours!
Even more exciting? Lumino City is part of this month's Humble Mobile Bundle in the category "Great adventure" (which it is!)
Appunwrapper writes: "State of Play's Lumino City checks off so many boxes that would make for the perfect iOS point-and-click adventure game. Obviously, the part that stands out the most is its artwork. The scenery and puzzles were built by hand and then recorded using stop motion animation. So just about everything you see in the game is real, not CGI. That's a lot of effort to put into a game, and it makes Lumino City quite special. It's also why I was looking forward to playing it on iOS."
