In a deal just announced, Agg will chronicle her rise in the restaurant industry in a new book under the Appetite by Random House imprint of Penguin Random House.
I Hear She’s A Real Bitch, will trace Agg’s career from growing up in Scarborough to opening The Black Hoof, Cocktail Bar and Rhum Corner restaurants, influencing food trends and the city’s dining scene. Agg is also branching out to Montreal in a collaboration with Win Butler and Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire to open Agrikol, which a statement from her publisher describes as “a restaurant, bar, café, and hub for Haitian art and culture.” Rhum Corner in Toronto, which she opened with her husband Roland Jean, also explored Haitian culture and cuisine.
