Twitter Stage is a front-row seat at major events in tweet form

Twitter has launched a new account to live-tweet major events. The social network has long been a platform for users and publishers to share updates in real time, and Twitter is finally getting into the game itself — starting with the Tony Awards.

Dubbed Twitter Stage, the account shared memorable moments from the awards ceremony for Broadway theater, including a close-up of Bryan Cranston and updates on award winners like Helen Mirren, who received the first Tony of the evening.
