HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - Four McGlynn scored 22 points and five Towson players reached double figures in an 86-72 victory over Hofstra on Saturday night.

Trailing by one at the break, Towson opened the second half on a 17-8 run, capped by Timajh Parker-Rivera’s three straight jump shots to take 53-45 lead with 13:34 to play. The Tigers made 15 of 20 free throws in the final 4 minutes to seal it.

McGlynn shot 5 of 9 from the floor, hit three 3-pointers and made 9 of 10 free throws. Mike Morsell and John Davis scored 14 points apiece, and Parker-Rivera and Byron Hawkins chipped in 12 each for Towson (11-12, 4-6 Colonial Athletic Association), which has won three of four since snapping a four-game losing streak.



Towson shot 57.8 percent, was 29 of 41 from the free-throw line, and outrebounded Hofstra 41-23.

Juan’ya Green scored 25 points to lead Hofstra (14-9, 5-5).
