Robert Durst, the subject of HBO’s The Jinx, was arrested in New Orleans Saturday “on a warrant issued in a homicide investigation by Los Angeles County,” according to the New York Times.

Durst is the son of the late Seymour Durst, a big name in New York real estate. He began making headlines in the early ’80s when his wife disappeared and then again in 2001 when his elderly neighbor was found dead. Durst eventually went to court for his neighbor’s death, but avoided a murder conviction by pleading self-defense.

Durst has also been connected to another crime, the 2000 death of a Los Angeles friend. His Saturday arrest is in connection to that alleged homicide.

The Jinx, a six-part documentary series about the accusations against Durst, concludes Sunday at 8 p.m. on HBO. For more information about the arrest, head over to the New York Times website.
