'Game of Thrones': Emilia Clarke thinks Jon Snow might return

Is Jon Snow only “mostly dead”? Emilia Clarke just became the first member of Team GoT to say he might return.

In fact, the Emmy-nominated actress gave Kit Harington’s character a “50/50” chance to come back to Game of Thrones, which sounds pretty good to us.

Clarke was talking to MTV while promoting Terminator: Genisys (video below) when she gave those hopeful odds. Except Clarke also emphasized that she was merely giving her opinion. “I can, with all honesty, say I have no idea what’s happening,” she said, noting the producers tend to not to trust her with the show’s secrets.

“If I had to bet, there’s a 50/50 chance,” Clarke said. “There’s some helpful people there who could bring him back to life.”

Clarke’s referring to the popular fan theory is that Melisandre’s timely return to Castle Black is setting up the Red Woman ressurecting Snow—just as another Lord of Light priest, Thoros, revived Beric Dondarrion six times.

But Harington has said (rather firmly) that Snow is gone after the Bastard of Winterfell was betrayed and stabbed by his Night’s Watch brothers in the season 5 finale. The show’s producers (a bit less firmly) have said the same.

Clarke jokingly added, “If it means I’m that much closer to gettting to the throne, then okay.”
