QC issues? Otherwise looks like a nice set of wrenches for the $
These appear to be a nice set of wrenches for relatively cheap. As others have pointed out, there may be some quality control issues (wrong size wrenches, too many of one size). I was 'lucky' and got all the sizes as described on the packaging and as marked on the red folding case (which by the way smells like it was soaked for days in a mothball soup...you will need to let this air out).On the other hand, I did notice some rust spots on the 5/16"; I've uploaded a picture in the gallery for this item. It does look like it's just on the surface and can be removed but that's beside the point. Aren't these supposed to be new? And if so, what kind of warehouse have they been sitting in that they develop rust like this?Besides this flaw, the wrenches themselves seem pretty heavy duty although I haven't had a chance to really test them out. For the money this set is a really good option if you can get past the QC flaws.

The best thing I can say about this set is this is the set I want to have with me in my vehicle at all the times. The only cheap thing about this set is that Tekton is etched into the wrenches, which tells me they bought these from a generic manufacturer that had their own dies. I haven't swung a dead blow hammer to any of them, but I measured many of them against nuts and bolts I got at OSH, and all of them were nice and snug against the open and box ends. The chrome is perfect to start, and I'm curious how well it holds up.

The pouch is excellent. It has the sizes nicely printed on each slot and the stitching gap is perfect for each wrench to have a snug fit. It probably doesn't have years of abuse in its future, but it doesn't look ready to tear anytime soon. For the garage wall I would still rather use the traditional V-shaped wrench holders and for the tool chest I would rather use magnetic rails, but for my tool bag I usually end up letting wrenches go loose because aftermarket pouches aren't snug enough to keep half the wrenches in place anyway and nothing else fits in the bag. To keep the clutter down I used to only keep the wrenches I used regularly in the bag, which meant a lot of times I couldn't help with tools when someone needed it.

I try not to carry with me much more than $100 in tools encase of a break-in and I don't have to think about who saw that I keep a nice torque wrench in my bag. Tekton is perfect for this role, and the quality is worlds better than the bottom rung stuff I find at hardware and auto part stores for the same price.

My only suggestion is that Tekton sell a couple other wrench sets to compliment this one. A set of small size wrenches for ignition work, and a set of bigs for axles and crankshaft pulleys. This one covers a great spectrum, but the only option for larger wrenches is the MAXTORQ set and no options for smaller.

A few manufacturers make ignition wrenches like these. No reason Tekton shouldn't make both sets for a better price. Quality can wander with these sizes though.
Craftsman 20 pc. Combination Ignition Wrench Set

A standard quality set like this in both SAE and Metric would be perfect except down to 1 1/4" because it's an important size. 5-7 SAE and 5-7 or Metric in common sizes should be good enough.
TEKTON 19621 MaxTorq Jumbo Combination Wrench Set, SAE, 10-Piece

[Update:]I basically found two sets that basically describe what I was thinking of at Tekton's website. 6-pc. Jumbo Combination Wrench sets(SAE & Metric). 1-3/8", 1-1/2", 1-5/8", 1-3/4", 1-7/8", 2" & 27, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35mm. Basically add a 1 1/4" and make it one set of 13 with a pouch and that set would perfectly compliment this one. Having perfect continuity is important.

I got this while at a discounted price of about $28. What I really was shopping for what just the tool roll to hold my existing wrench set. Well, My existing set was smaller than this one, and the other tools rolls I was looking at were about $20... just for the roll. So I figured I'd get this and have a better set. Well... the only problem with that is that the roll that comes with this set is one of those really cheep plastic backed things. It is fine right now, but in my experience, those types of things break down very fast. So while the wrenched themselves seen nice, and they come in an impressively large size range, I may still continue my hunt for a tool roll to hold them. As the roll is not the main item, I could not take a full star off the review for that. The steel is marked as CrV, and I believe that is Chromium-vanadium. This is a good type of steel (put can vary from manufactures). The finish is a bit rough, but workable. These are fine tools at a great price.

I'm very happy with this set of combination wrenches. I've had cheap wrenches that rounded off on the first heavy use - these did not. I put over 60ft-lbs of torque on the 17mm and it did not show any damage. The middle part is thinner than my Craftsman set, so if you ran it over with a truck one would likely bend, but used properly I did not feel it bend. The roll that comes with it is better quality than I expected - nylon fabric with pvc backing instead of just stitched pvc. The wrenches were all there, no missing or doubled sizes as others have reported and it does not have any excessive smells. It could have a better closure strap, instead of the flimsy nylon cord that was just tied onto an eyelet, but for the price I didn't even expect one of those. I can always just add a cinch-strap if I find it necessary. Overall, very good set of wrenches for an awesome price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a less-expensive set of wrenches.

If you have very basic needs in terms of performance and durability and price is your primary concern, this is a fair set of wrenches. If you have even moderately demanding needs - buy something else.

These don't fit neatly. They're sloppy in terms of size. Some fit snuggly to bolts, others are obviously loose. I've compared them to other wrenches and they're not especially precise in sizing.

They're also not durable. I've had two break on me (like snap). The steel is very large grained and brittle. Under heavy force, it snaps. I hurt my hand pretty well on one of the breaks, as well.

For me - these were a bad purchase - made in China to a very low standard to hit a very low price. I wish I'd bought something better.

I needed a 24mm wrench to do a transmission fluid drain on my car. A single wrench would've costed over $7 on Amazon.ca and much more at my local hardware store, so I bought the entire set. I was hesitant to buy Indian made tools, but they seem to be well made. As someone else mentioned, the case is perfectly designed to be hung from a pegboard. I may hang it or keep it folded up and stored on my tool shelf. It also came with a polyester rope to hold the case together. I did notice a bit of oxidization or rust on the "TEKTON" logo on some of the wrenches, but since I'll be using them occasionally, it's not a big deal.

Seems like a pretty decent wrench set for the money. The roll up storage that fits inside a tool box is great. These are strange times when a 24 pack of wrenches is cheaper than a 24 pack of beer!
