    While i’m sick at home, i’m happy to see that my colleagues published a blog post about our first keynote speaker for droidcon Berlin. Janne Jul Jensen is a Senior Interaction Designer at Trifork. Her keynote is titled “The Cognitive Abilities of Human Beings - Why Some Things are just so darn Hard” and i think it’s a really good thing to start a conference day with some facts and inspiration about usability. No matter how innovative the idea for an app, no matter how good the backend, if the user doesn’t get it or doesn’t like using it. At least that’s what i think - from a user and tech enthusiast perspective.

    “This talk will go into the psychological theories and explanations, that lie behind the difficulties users experience when guidelines are broken. By understanding these psychological explanations, we in turn become better at understanding what to strive for and what to avoid, when designing interfaces, because we understand why.”
