Imageepoch, Sega to Release Stella Glow 3DS Game in Japan on June 4

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Game developers Sega and Imageepoch announced on Monday that they will release Imageepoch's (Time and Eternity, Luminous Arc, 7th Dragon 2020) Stella Glow simulation role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS on June 4 in Japan.

The game takes place in a world of swords and magic, and will focus on witches who control "song magic," which has the power to change the world. Stella Glow will feature strategic battles on a 3D map that center on the witches who employ this magic, and battles will be fought from a quarter-view perspective.

Hideyuki Mizutani (Luminous Arc, Fate/Extra series) is producing the game, Dai Ōba (7th Dragon 2020-II) is directing, and Procyon Studio, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Shunsuke Tsuchiya are handling the sound. Makoto Shakadō, ideolo, and others are designing the characters.

The game will retail for 5,990 yen (about US$49). Famitsu is currently hosting screenshots from the game.

The game will celebrate 10 years of the Imageepoch brand. Imageepoch trademarked the name "Stella Glow" in September. While Imageepoch announced the game as a solo venture in October, Sega will now publish the game.

NISA localized Imageepoch's Time and Eternity (Tokitowa) game for the PlayStation 3 in 2013. Imageepoch's Black Rock Shooter game was also released in the United States and Europe in 2013 for the PlayStation Portable.
