Enzo’s dad: Dalia, alleged mastermind already engaged

Dalia Pastor, the wife of the slain of car racing champion Enzo Pastor, is now engaged with the alleged mastermind in his killing, Enzo's father alleged.

In a live interview with GMA News TV's “News To Go”, Enzo's father Tomas Pastor said that the recent investigation of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) revealed that Dalia and Domingo “Sandy” De Guzman have been in a relationship for the past two years and that in August of this year, got engaged.

“Actually after the result of the investigation two months ago, na-reveal yung two-year relationship nila. And then last August 15, nung birthday ni Sandy yun, nakita namin through Facebook sharing na nag-propose si Dalia ng marriage kay Sandy,” Tomas said.

De Guzman has denied being behind the killing. Dalia has denied being involved with De Guzman.

Lawyer Ricky Dela Cruz, legal counsel of the Pastor family, revealed that De Guzman even had a tattoo of Dalia's name on his back.

“Ang worry ko ngayon, don't tell me yung grandchildren ko ang future step-father nila ay yung suspected mastermind sa pagpatay ng anak ko. Masyado naman na yun,” Tomas lamented.

Dalia and Enzo had two children, who currently remain in the custody of Dalia's father.

In an affidavit earlier submitted with the NBI, Dalia had denied any relationship with De Guzman.

De Guzman is considered as the principal suspect in the killing of Enzo on June 12.

At least two witnesses, gunmen PO2 Edgar Angel and Alvin Nidua have identified De Guzman as the mastermind in the crime.

Nidua claimed that he was originally hired by De Guzman to kill Enzo but he refused after he and De Guzman failed to agree on the price of performing the task. De Guzman reportedly then hired the services of Angel.

Dalia, meanwhile, is also a suspect in her husband's killing for allegedly colluding with De Guzman.

De Guzman was arrested in September for charges of illegal possession of firearms but he posted bail.

The Department of Justice has (DOJ) yet to finish its preliminary investigation in connection with Enzo's killing.

The court, if charges are filed before it, has the authority to issue warrants or arrest against those implicated.

Dela Cruz said that while De Guzman recently submitted to the DOJ his affidavit denying the allegations, Dalia had remained uncooperative.

“Nagtataka kami na sinasabi ni Mr. Guerrero (Dalia's father) na inosente yung kanilang anak, pero bakit ayaw lumantad, ayaw magpaliwanag, ayaw depensahan ang kanyang sarili...? Flight is a sign of guilt e. Hanggang ngayon hindi pa siya nag-fifile ng counter-affidavit,” Dela Cruz said.

Dela Cruz said the sole affidavit submitted by Dalia with the NBI was her denial of the alleged relationship with De Guzman.

“'Yun pa lang ang nag-iisang affidavit na na-submit niya...Ang paniwala namin, kasi hindi niya (Dalia) masasagot yung mga basic na katanungan. Yung pagkaka-involve niya sa pagkamatay ng kanyang asawa ay tatlong testigo ang nagpapatunay, kaya ang tingin namin, ang remedy nalang nila ay magtago,” Dela Cruz said.
