There's a Winter Weather Watch out for Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow

If you're expecting visitors or heading out, the snowfall could affect travel on what AAA says will be the busiest day of the year.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Wednesday morning through Thursday morning.

“Some places across the Hudson Valley and New England could even have snow totals exceed a foot,” reports Accuweather.com.

The National Weather Service’s forecast for Tarrytown calls for an inch during the day Wednesday, and makes no predictions about snow totals Wednesday night into Thursday.

The snowfall will significantly affect holiday travel, the NWS says, and make driving dangerous at times.

That’s too bad, because Triple A says a huge number of travelers will be hitting the road for the holiday.

AAA Travel projects 46.3 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Thanksgiving weekend, the highest volume for the holiday since 2007 and a 4.2 percent increase over 2013.
