Users can no longer add transparency to their taskbars

In addition to many visual improvements, Windows 10 build 9901 also includes a change that might not be really pleasing for many users out there who expect the new OS to significantly enhance the UI.

In this build, you can no longer add transparency to the Windows taskbar, so you get the same solid color and flat design no matter your configuration.

In Windows 8.1 and even previous Windows 10 Technical Preview builds, there was an option in the Personalization screen that allowed you to adjust color intensity. A lower level automatically generated taskbar transparency, which basically meant that you could see through it and view the wallpaper.

Unfortunately for users who find transparency more important than anything else, build 9901 changes the behavior of the color intensity setting and only affects the title bar of each window and not the taskbar as well.

Of course, this could change in future Windows 10 builds, and Microsoft would better listen to what users say because most of the comments posted online are actually calling for the company to offer more transparency options and customization settings for the operating system.

At the same time, Aero continues to be one of the most voted features in Windows 10, but it remains to be seen if Redmond is indeed ready to bring back this popular Windows 7 visual effect pack.
