Copper-9 offered a quick stop for the 11th Doctor and his companion Clara; enjoyable sights and expedient supplies. Yet, when the Tardis brings them to when they need to be, instead of where they want to be, they find the bustling settlement a shattered ruin of smoking rubble and catastrophic ashes. The only thing left alive being the humanoid workforce of worker drones.
Of particular note, three particular angst riddled horrors; fresh off the heels of the trauma of their camping trip gone awry. Though the harsh winds of Copper-9 groan with change and the sounds of new arrivals, at least N, V, and Uzi have each other. Right?

Title says it all, really -- a collection of 'missing adventure'-style one-shots loosely tied together by that theme.
Pure whouffaldi, mostly fluff, some angst because it's Twelve and Clara, after all, but always a happy ending, and the usual crack-ish Who ridiculousness.
T- or occasionally slightly M-rated, ranging from early Series Eight to post Hell Bent.

But nothing comes for free. What things do we have to lose, let go of, in order to obtain what we desire so much? How many things do we have to lose, how many debts does the Universe owe us, to only then give us this other thing that we wanted so much in this first Universe? How willing are we to collect these debts?
In another Universe, Yaz is just a new worker at a radio station, with a too close relationship with her best friend, and the debt the Universe has with her is paid. However, for that, Yaz has to lose something.
Because in this Universe, there are no Time Lords, but there is a PhD in Biology, with short blonde hair, dressed in a way a Doctor never would expect, and with a smile that makes the Sun tremble with envy.
