Infiniti has released full details and a big photo gallery of the facelifted Q70 sedan, which is now on sale in the UK from £32,650 (around €43,660).

The revised Infiniti Q70 range for Europe includes a mild exterior makeover inspired by the smaller Q50 which consists of reworked bumpers, a new front grille and full LED front and rear lighting. Mechanical upgrades include a re-tuned suspension, improved noise insulation inside and a new engine, Mercedes’ 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel unit.

Replacing the previous 3.0-liter V6 diesel, the smaller engine produces 170PS (168hp) and 400Nm (295lb-ft) of torque. Mated to a standard seven-speed automatic transmission with available paddle shifters, the 2.2-liter unit emits just 129 g/km of CO2.

Standard equipment for the base Q70 Premium 2.2d includes full LED headlights, chromed accents on the front grille, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, Connectiviti+ navigation, 18-inch wheels and leather seats with ventilation.

Infiniti also offers a Sport trim which features a more aggressive-looking front bumper, uprated brakes and 20-inch wheels, among other changes. Tech models (available with selected Premium and Sport trims), bring Infiniti’s Dynamic Safety Shield (intelligent cruise control, lane departure prevention and blind-spot intervention), Bose Premium Surround Sound with 16 speakers and Around-View Monitor with Moving Object Detection and Forest air-conditioning.

Besides the new 2.2-liter diesel, the Infiniti Q70 is available with a 320PS (316hp) 3.7-liter V6 petrol engine and the 364PS (359hp) Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid powertrain which pairs a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with an electric motor. The range-topping Q70 Hybrid accelerates from 0-62mph (100 km/h) in 5.3 seconds while emitting 145g CO2/km.
