David Kiefer, MD, is a board-certified family physician with licenses in Washington, Arizona, and Wisconsin. In Seattle, he supervises family medicine residents at a homeless youth clinic, teaches naturopathic medical students at Bastyr University, and works in several clinics. He completed a fellowship at the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he is an assistant clinical professor of medicine.
Kiefer graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison and completed his residency training at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. His research and teaching interests include ethnobotany, especially in Latin America, and the clinical applications of evidence-based herbal medicine.
