'Billy on the Street' moves to TruTV

Billy On The Street Neil Patrick Harris

Billy is not just on the street—he’s on the move.

Billy on the Street, the wacko quiz show featuring an overenergized Billy Eichner running around New York City and testing random passers-by (and celebrities), has found a new home on TruTV after airing for three seasons on Fuse. The cable network, which has been branching into comedy, will debut a fourth season consisting of 10 episodes later this year. Production on these episodes will begin this spring in New York.

It’s part of an overall deal that Eichner has inked with Turner Broadcasting System. Repeats of the game show, which originated as a Funny or Die web series, will air on TBS, which has acquired the rights to the first three seasons as well. Eichner—who also stars in the upcoming Hulu comedy Difficult People with Billy on the Street head writer Julie Klausner—will also develop pilots for TruTV and sister network Adult Swim as well as half-hour specials for TBS and TruTV.
