Crimson Peak

After seeing the first photo of Jessica Chastain in Guillermo del Toro's forthcoming horror film Crimson Peak, we now have a glimpse of two more co-stars from the gothic haunted house flick. Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers) and Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) also star in the film about a young woman (Wasikowska) who is swept off by her feet by a charismatic suitor (Hiddleston) and taken back to his ancestral home. There she finds more than she bargained for, including a jealous sister (Chastain) and more than a few skeletons in the closet. With del Toro at the helm, we're definitely excited.

Here's the new Crimson Peak photos from EW and Empire magazine scans (via Collider):

Crimson Peak is directed by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Pacific Rim, The Devil's Backbone) from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Robbins (Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, Mimic) and Lucina Coxon (Wild Target). In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers. Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, Charlie Hunnam and Tom Hiddleston star in the film which Universal and Legendary will release next fall on October 16th, 2015.

Hope Del Toro doesn't go the way of Burton.

I don't think he will. At least, Burton has a few commercial successes under his belt. Del Toro has not had a runaway hit in years, if ever.

Looks great. The lighting is way too nice in Hiddleston's "glamour shot", but that aside this looks like I will be very happy, even if it is another under-performing movie from GDT.
