As 2014 Draws to a Close, So Does the Restoration Program at the Tarrytown Music Hall

Almost all of the structural and external work has been completed.

With exterior work on the Tarrytown Music Hall well on the way to conclusion, the focus will soon shift to the hall’s interior.

“The main part of the project will be finished before Xmas, barring any surprises,” said Björn Olsson, Executive Director. “We want to do a reception/ceremony in early spring but no date for it has been set.”

The next phase looms ahead.

“We have a lot more work to do but this is a huge step in securing at least another century for this landmark building,” said Olsson.

“We certainly plan to restore and upgrade the interior as well, and are planning accordingly,” added Olsson. “We need HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) upgrades, sound and lighting upgrades, and we also hope to expand and improve our rest rooms.” No dates have been as yet for work to commence on these new projects, he said.
