It truly irks me that a few people are complaining at the fact Assassins Creed is a digital copy when this is selling for less than the stand alone console price ! It even states that it's a download in the description but even still, I would of happily bought this even if it was just the console, it would still be a phenomenal deal. Having been lurking Gumtree for a while but feeling a little iffy about it, I almost succumbed and bought a second hand console for £280, I'm very glad I found this instead though, this is a life saver for a ridiculously good price, I honestly feel like I'm ripping off Microsoft :P. It was delivered the next day (thanks to the Amazon Prime trial) and everything intact. Yes the download takes a while, but the game is 40gb for goodness sake, it is going to take a while, it's actually faster than I thought it would be with my terrible internet speed, it's taken about 20 hours to download, I though I'd be waiting a week before I could even think about playing a 40gb game. Granted the 500gb is a little small for the amount of space that the next gen games take up, but that's an easy fix with an external hard drive (highly recommended you get one!).
Over all the console itself is a little confusing at first, especially with the snap feature, but you get used to it fairly fast, the home is a little lackluster but it is still a fairly new console, not too many options games wise either (not as much as I'd like anyway), but we were spoiled for choice with the previous generation being that it was coming to an end. The potential of this console is impeccable and I can't wait to see what the future holds for it ! The PS4 itself is over priced, granted it has a slightly higher GPU, but doesn't have the CPU the Xbox has to even comprehend handling it. The home will be updated and become more content filled/organised as time moves forwards. I have a few small bones to pick though, being that the home screen is all new and 'shiny' they've dropped a few really important (at least I thought so) features, like voice messaging, a small thing, but made life all the more easier when you're mid game and need to drop a quick message, typing is a nuisance.. And it's a lot harder to play around with the settings, it honestly just needs a little more organizing and the addition of a little 'love and care' towards user friendliness. But again, this will be fixed with updates in due time. If you think about how many updates it took the Xbox 360 to get the dashboard it has now, and realize this is well and truly a next generation console, you'll be able to see how far it will go in the future.Lastly it's a huge.. I have it sat next to my Xbox 360 S and it makes it looks like a baby, I actually had to move my TV backwards in order to fit the console up on the stand. But not a big deal to be honest, I didn't expect any different for such a beast bit of kit (for the price of £279.85), they will more than likely release a slim version of it fairly soon, they've certainly opened themselves up a market to be able to do so, but that's not a huge deal to me. I am so pleased I got this, I was slightly worried with the price I was going to get ripped off in some way, first thing I did was check the warranty sticker and it was all intact. For this price you really can't go wrong ! :)
