the ‘bluesmart‘ is the world’s first smart, connected carry-on that can be locked, weighed and tracked using a phone application. with a built-in battery, the user can charge two devices at the same time and has enough juice to energize a phone six times. the suitcase has been re-imagined to solve all the problems of the modern traveler. with the company’s travel sentry approved lock, a smartphone can secure belongings, automatically lock when separated from the owner and send notifications if anyone tries to open it.

proximity sensors send alerts if it gets left behind and uses a network to let the traveler know and track its location. the suitcase also has a built-in digital scale which weighs the bag when the handle is pulled, by display the number on the app. an additional function is that real-time reports are available showing trends and data from their trips, such as miles traveled, airports visited and time per country. as well, it syncs with the user’s calendar in order to make reminders about when and what to pack.

the smart luggage now has fully functioning prototypes that offer easy access to electronics with a compartment at the front of the suitcase. it is designed to hold and protect laptops and tablets, the smart carry-on is seeking funding via its indiegogo campaign.
