Bethesda’s role-playing game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim brought a whole new audience and expectations to the RPG genre, says the producer of Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.
Amazon announced a partnership with Electronic Arts to deliver even more free games and in-game content to Prime Gaming subscribers.
Amazon announced the Prime Gaming gifts for the month of November: Control Ultimate Edition, Dragon Age Inquisition, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and more.
The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription
How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?
lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
Yeah it got all those sales compared to Oblivion but they did dumb it down a little to bring in more of an audience.
I loved Skyrim but you can't deny the the fact they made it more accessible. I liked Oblivion for how challenging it was, it took me a while to get my character right and that kind of experimenting with RPG games is what I love the most.
Shame with all the changes they didn't fix the way enemies level up with you, or how only certain loot appears when your a high enough skill....managing to open a Master lock on a chest at a low level and seeing all you've gotten is a few coins and a potion is pretty disappointing.
I hope not, as much as I like Skyrim the Elder Scrolls model of storytelling is kinda crap. It was games like Baldur's Gate 2 and Knights of the Old Republic that perfected RPG storytelling, and it's sad to see someone that works at BioWare completely miss the point of what makes an RPG an RPG. It's not an open world or busy work, it's the story and the choices that the player can make.
Open-world? Yes.
Great story-telling? No.
Didn't really think Skyrim was all that great, good yest, great no.
