{Sunday Post} —A Calamity of Souls, No Filter, and The Scottish Prisoners

4/20/24 - I had planned on having this post written, edited, and scheduled by this morning, but it seems Google was having some sort of issue with the Blogger platform and wasn't allowing me to work on drafts. The good news is that whatever the problem was seems to be fixed.

I believe I jumped the gun a bit a few weeks ago when I said the KC Royals were playing just as badly as last year. This isn't true at all. After losing their first two games, the Royals pitching and hitting have improved a lot. They're currently in second place in the American League Central Division, just two games behind Cleveland with a record of 13-8.

[Review] — James Patterson's "MISSING PERSONS" is a Paperback Rack Fluff

Buy the Paperback on *Amazon.com

I'm a bit confused about how many books are in the "Private" series by James Patterson. I have seen 22 books listed as part of the series, but the latest one published in the US is "MISSING PERSONS." This book is listed as #16 in the series, even though it was originally published as "Private Rogue" in the UK by Century in 2021. (Note: Fantastic Fiction lists nineteen books in the Private series.)

[Review] — "THE TEACHER" is a Twisted Page-Turner

*Buy the paperback on Amazon.com

I have come across the name Fredia McFadden in bookstores time and time again, and I was curious about her books. So, I decided to read her new thriller, THE TEACHER, which Poisoned Pen Press recently published. I had no idea what genre McFadden wrote in before starting the book. After reading the short prologue, I thought it was written for young adults because I believed the prologue protagonist was a teenager. Chapter one begins with an adult point of view through the eyes of Eve, then we meet troubled teenager Addie, and later in the novel, readers see through the eyes of Eve's husband, Nate. The entire novel flips back and forth between these three characters, which is something I usually detest, but this storytelling method works well here.

{Sunday Post} — Creepers, Fear Street, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?

4/5/24 - Hello, bookworms! I have some exciting news to share. I have decided to revamp my 'Sunday Post' outings and created a brand-new banner, which you can see above. If you're wondering how I made it, I used an AI image creator instead of spending tireless hours creating it myself. I'd love to hear your feedback on the new banner, so please leave your thoughts in the comments section.

[Review] — "A LIFE WITH GHOSTS" is a Fun Behind-the-Scenes Look at Ghost Hunting

I read A Life With Ghosts last autumn, sometime around its release date, but I don't remember the exact date. I intended to write a review right away, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it kept getting postponed until now.
